About Us

Pu Shan Chinese Medicine Centre was established in December 1995.

The team is made up of qualified practitioners who have had many years of clinical experience in hospitals. Our chief physicians are Dr. Wang Zheng and Dr Sun Yuhua.

Dr Wang is one of China's top TCM doctors and a tui na specialist. After graduation from The Tianjin College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1966, he practised at the associated hospital of the College as well as doing research and teaching. Over a span of 28 years he had held various senior medical posts including Consultants of Orthopaedics, Acupuncture and Massage Therapy, and Assistant Professor of Chinese Medicine. In 1991, he and a team of doctors were sent by the Chinese State Government to help set up the Chinese Medical Centre in Bath, UK. He practised at the centre for two years during which his work and that of his colleagues were well reported in the press (The Observer ran a series on Traditional Chinese Medicine in November 1991 in which Dr. Wang's skills were highly appraised).

Dr. Sun Yuhua is an experienced herbalist and acupuncturist. Trained in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine, she was a senior doctor at the Tianjin Chest Hospital. She also has a special interest in dermatology and has great success in treating skin conditions such as eczema, acne and psoriasis.

All our practitioners are registered members of TCMCI (Traditional Chinese Medicine Council of Ireland) or Acupuncture Foundation. It is a condition of membership that each member carries Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance Cover. Members of TCMCI are approved by VHI, BUPA and VIVAS for insurance purposes.
